Nima Gyalgen Sherpa is your Host and Owner of The Beyul Hermitage + Farm. For over 20 years, Nima lived in the United States, but in 2012 returned to Nepal and built The Beyul Hermitage + Farm. He grew up in Charmadingma and Chhuserma, and knows the area intimately having extensive experience as a former trekking guide and climbing Sherpa on Everest, K2, Dhauligiri, Mera Peak, and Island Peak.
In addition to being a unique trekkers/climbers lodge, we annually operate as a Dharma Center through Dharmashringa in Budhanilkantha north of Kathmandu. Vipassana Meditation is the ancient art of living practiced by Gautama Buddha over 2,500 years ago. A typical course is ten-days of silent meditation with instruction.
